the artist
Lauren Henry holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Toronto, studied Visual Art at York University and Graphic Design and Illustration at Sheridan College. She grew up on Manitoulin Island and returns frequently to the north, where she has explored and painted many of the same vistas captured by the Gof7 artists. She also finds inspiration along the ski trails and bike paths of the Ottawa region where she resides.

A member of many arts organizations, her works have been shown at  the Ottawa Art Gallery, the Foyer Gallery, the Kanata Civic Art Gallery, The Ron Maslin Theatre (Kanata), Art Lending of Ottawa, the Nepean Visual Arts Centre, with solo shows at the Cafe 111 Lisgar gallery and the Galerie Old Chelsea in Chelsea, Quebec. She has participated in many juried Art Festivals throughout the province, including the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival and the New Art Festival.
